Navigating the Patchwork Quilt: How to Manage Incident Response

Privacy
Privacy

Today, there are more security incidents and data breaches occurring than ever before, which we see weekly reminders of in headlines all over the world. An incident occurring within your organization isn’t a question of “if”, but of “when”. When an incident occurs, there are many stakeholders involved, many aspects to be investigated, and hundreds of breach notification laws with obligations that you must comply with if that incident becomes a reportable data breach. Are you ready to respond when your organization has an incident or breach? In this session, we’ll discuss key topics to make sure that the answer to that question is “yes,” such as:

– Building a repeatable incident response playbook and workflows that will streamline the tasks, assessments, and individuals involved when an incident occurs
– Integrating regulatory research into your investigation to automatically generate notification guidance based on the nature of the incident
– Leveraging existing information to streamline the investigation process, such as data from your data map and data discovery results

Many organizations have already established the building blocks of privacy governance, but is it enough? Global privacy regulations are the new norm, and the business environment is competitive and ever changing, resulting in a sprawling data footprint that is expanding in size and in complexity. Organizations are seeking a next gen level of visibility into what data they’ve accumulated, as well as where that data is residing within their landscape and at third parties. Visibility is increasingly achievable with modern tools that provide valuable insights for leadership to more effectively make risk-based decisions, protect data, and enable trust. Join this session with KPMG to learn more about our approach to the future of privacy as we break down silos through technology integration and transition to a secure, compliant, connected enterprise.

This session is presented by TrustWeek sponsor, KPMG.

Privacy Rights: Enhance your DSAR Process with Automation, Discovery, and Redaction

Privacy

It seems that all global privacy regulations have at least one thing in common: giving rights to the individual to make requests of their data. The GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and other emerging regulations have shown that Privacy Rights Requests (or DSARs) aren’t going anywhere, and organizations need to be ready to field an increasing number of requests with increasingly complex requirements. This increasing complexity means that automating the fulfillment of these requests has become more important than ever. Join us in this session to learn how the latest features in OneTrust’s Privacy Rights (DSAR) product can help you with just that by leveraging data discovery, robotic automation, and redaction capabilities.

For Keeps? Managing Data Retention Strategies

Data Governance
Data Governance

As organizations become more data-driven, one of their biggest privacy, security, and governance challenges is data retention. How long an organization can (or must) retain data is dependent on many different factors, including privacy regulations, data governance principles, country and business function-specific requirements, and internal policies. Determining which requirements apply to what data, which takes precedent, and how compliance with retention policies may affect down-stream business functions is not scalable as a manual process. In this session we’ll discuss:

– How to track and to document both external data retention requirements and internal policies
– Integrating automated retention tracking into your data catalog
– Automating retention analysis and remediation actions
